Considered the heart and origin of Ryokan Ichinomatsu, the East Wing features our classic, traditional Japanese rooms. The soothing scent of tatami mats and the soft natural light flowing from the enclosed veranda create a timeless and deeply relaxing atmosphere. As our standard room type, these welcoming spaces are warmly loved by both first-time guests and our many returning patrons.

West Wing (Modern Japanese Rooms)

The more recently updated rooms in the West Wing beautifully harmonize serene traditional Japanese design with modern convenience. Designed with your utmost comfort in mind, each room features a completely separate bathroom, toilet, and washbasin area, allowing you to relax and unwind without any stress during your stay. Furthermore, our soothing hot spring baths are conveniently located within this very wing. Guests highly appreciate the effortless, short stroll back to their rooms after a relaxing soak in the springs.

Junior Suite (Premium Corner Room: 10 Tatami Mats + Veranda)

 Nestled in the corner of the East Wing, this remarkably spacious and airy room offers a wonderful sense of openness. Featuring expansive glass windows on two sides, it invites you to enjoy the picturesque garden scenery that beautifully shifts its expressions with the changing hours and seasons. While perfectly preserving the nostalgic charm and elegance of a classic Japanese tatami room, it is gracefully bathed in natural light and offers exceptional comfort. This bright, welcoming sanctuary is highly requested and deeply loved by our returning guests.

The Special Suite (12 Tatami Mats + Living Room + Bedroom + Entryway)

As the premier accommodation at Ryokan Ichinomatsu, this elegant suite is designed for a truly special stay. In addition to a spacious 12-mat traditional tatami room, it features a relaxing living area, a separate bedroom, and a classic fumikomi (graceful entryway), all thoughtfully appointed with carefully selected furnishings.Situated as a hanare (separated annex) connected to the West Wing, it provides a peaceful and private atmosphere, set slightly apart from the other guest rooms.
